Getting started
Invite your team
Creating users, and assigning mailboxes and roles.
Updated:
A user and a mailbox are a single object. Creating a user provisions the mailbox and the account together.
Creating a user
Administration → Users → Add. The form requires the domain, the local part of the address, a name and a role. Team membership may be assigned at the same time.
Password strength is evaluated during entry. The mail server rejects weak passwords, so the evaluation is applied before the account is created.
Roles
Four roles are available. Member is the standard role. Owner and Admin hold full administrative permissions; Billing has access to invoices and usage. Individual permissions may be granted or withdrawn per user in addition to the role. See “Roles and permissions”.
Billing impact
Billing is calculated per user. On a paid plan, a user added during a billing period is charged pro rata, and a user removed generates a credit. The amount is displayed before confirmation.
Aliases
An address such as contact@ or sales@ that delivers into an existing mailbox is an alias and not a user. Aliases do not appear in Chat, in teams or in the user list. They are billed as mailboxes.
